Sergei acted as the guide and translator on the expedition providing local knowledge and english translation. He has over twelve years international experience guiding expeditions in Russia and speaks English, Japanese and Spanish and has worked with internal tourism for thirty years. Based in Vladivostok Sergei runs his own company and specialises in rafting, bird watching, tiger treks, fishing and hiking trips in eastern Siberia. As well as acting as a tourist guide Sergei also directs the Russian NGO Tiger Volunteer. They have an anti poaching team which operates in Lazo Reserve.
