Migrant Guangdong factory worker Li Shun Gui returns home to his village in Yunan to celebrate the Chinese New Year. At home his Uncle starts the New Years Eve tradition of pasting up religious symbols on the doors of the house while in the background, Li and his nephew collect lucky money in small red envelopes.
