22nd July - Crook O' Lune

I said my goodbyes after a couple of hours and dashed to the Crook O' Lune for another festival. Tide & Time was a lottery supported project as part of the bridge building, which even after the event I still do not understand. A few people marched in to some Chinese music, carrying banners but silent. The banners went to ground and we were directed to the river where a raft floated down blowing off fireworks. I shot pictures and again found myself drawn to the number of people who were obviously just there for the water and sun.

Before leaving while talking to an old friend a traffic warden arrived and started putting tickets on cars parked for the event. In a bazaar turn of events a few angry visitors turned on the warden and police were called in to intervene with the dispute.
