Cawthorne's Endowed School perform A Mid Summer Nights Dream at the Over Wyresdale Pageant. The festival has particular significance as most of the farming community still exist in a feudal system, renting their land from the Duke of Westminster. The Duke who lives in London but has a Mansion nearby, is one of the richest men in the country and still has close ties with the Royal family who often visit in the shooting season.
